Shannon began her insurance journey in 2014, initially focusing on health insurance while running several tax offices with her husband. Her entry into the insurance field was motivated by the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA/Obamacare), as she sought to understand its tax implications and help both her tax associates and clients navigate the new tax credits system.
As her practice evolved to include Medicare insurance, Shannon found her true calling in serving the senior community. She has always been passionate about ensuring seniors receive caring, respectful, and honest information about their Medicare options, whether they ultimately enrolled in a plan through her or not. Shannon's approach to client service has been deeply personal—she has treated each client the way she would want someone to treat her own parents.
Shannon's business grew entirely through word-of-mouth, with most clients coming to her as friends, neighbors, or referrals. Her commitment to personalized service meant her clients always had someone they could reach, trust to answer every question with honesty and respect, and who would take the time to make them feel important, like family. This approach gave her clients a sense of security when dealing with their health and financial decisions.
Some of Shannon's most rewarding moments came from helping clients find affordable coverage solutions during significant Medicare changes in her area. From helping a client transition to a more affordable MedicareAdvantage plan that allowed them to afford groceries again, to guiding anxious clients through plan cancellations by showing them opportunities for guaranteed acceptance into supplement plans, Shannon has consistently put her clients' needs first.
While Shannon is now transitioning into retirement to enjoy traveling, painting, gardening, family time, and becoming a snowbird, she remains deeply committed to ensuring her clients continue receiving the exceptional care they deserve through Senior Allies.
