After over two decades in the senior market insurance business, Gloria Marcum is retiring and merging her agency with our team here at Medicare Allies. Medicare Allies is a senior market brokerage specializing in Medicare and retirement planning.

Born and raised in Illinois, Gloria began her journey in the insurance industry in 1998, initially focused on cancer indemnity products.Following a life-changing event where her husband was unable to work due to an accident, she expanded her expertise to include Medicare products.

With her 75th birthday fast approaching and personal reflection on her late husband’s passing, Gloria decided it was time to retire. She plans to explore the world, travel, and enjoy new experiences that bring her joy. Gloria is moving from Illinois to Texas for this fresh start.

While Gloria is looking forward to her retirement, she looks back on her time in the insurance industry with fondness. She built deep bonds with her clients who were more than just policyholders, but an extended family. Her clients’ support and referrals gave her a sense of satisfaction and purpose.Gloria plans to dedicate her time to volunteer work with different animal shelters and charities, always seeking to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Gloria’s retirement marks the end of one chapter, but it’s only the beginning of the adventure that awaits her.

As part of this transition, it is important that her customers understand this will not affect any Medicare plan, drug plan or life insurance that they now have. They are not required to take any action or to make any changes to any of their insurance policies.
